Viran's coverage now extends to Japan: one of the largest public procurement markets in the world, and one of the least visible from outside it.
This is what worldwide coverage is supposed to mean. Not the handful of markets that happen to be easy to reach, but the ones that matter regardless of how hard they are to follow. Japan has stayed outside most monitoring services because of language, publication conventions and the structure of the process. Those are engineering problems, and we have solved them.
For a supplier the consequence is immediate. Japanese public contracts now arrive in the same pipeline as domestic and EU tenders, matched against the same capability profile, and assessed on the same terms as everything else.
Markets that are hard to watch are markets with fewer bidders in them. Viran now puts one of the largest of them within reach.
