Viran has extended tender monitoring to the Islamic Development Bank. IsDB-financed contracts are now screened alongside national and EU procurement, matched against the supplier's capability profile, and returned with a go or no-go and the reasoning attached.
The Bank approved $13.2 billion for its 57 member countries in 2024, across water, transport, energy, agriculture, education and health, with climate finance the largest single share.
Eligibility is the first thing to establish here, and it is stricter than most public procurement a European supplier will have met. The Bank's rule is that financing proceeds are used to procure goods and works from eligible member countries only, and that bidders from non-member countries are not eligible even when offering from an eligible country. Finland is not a member. For suppliers without a qualifying entity, that answers the question before the requirement is ever read, which is worth knowing early rather than after a bid is underway.
Institutional sources are available as an extension to Viran Bid Team, for suppliers bidding outside their home market.
