Viran has added tender tracking for projects financed by the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the Nordic Investment Bank (NIB), expanding visibility into European green transition, municipal infrastructure and productivity investments.
While both institutions procure corporate services directly for their own operations, their largest procurement footprint is generated through financed projects. In these programmes, project promoters—such as municipal water companies, regional transport agencies, energy utilities and university consortia—run the competitive tendering processes and sign contracts under bank procurement guidelines.
Headquartered in Helsinki, the Nordic Investment Bank is owned by the eight Nordic and Baltic countries (Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway and Sweden), financing high-impact projects that enhance regional productivity and environmental resilience. The Luxembourg-based EIB represents the financing arm of the European Union, backing large-scale cross-border infrastructure, renewable energy and industrial innovation.
Viran tracks procurement across the project lifecycle, identifying promoter notices on national portals and TED as soon as tenders open. This allows engineering contractors, equipment manufacturers, software providers and consulting firms to engage early with bank-financed opportunities.
Institutional sources are available as an extension to Viran Bid Team, for suppliers bidding outside their home market.
