Viran has extended tender monitoring to the Inter-American Development Bank. IDB-financed contracts are now screened alongside national and EU procurement, matched against the supplier's capability profile, and returned with a go or no-go and the reasoning attached.
The Bank has 48 member countries: 26 borrowing members across Latin America and the Caribbean, where the work is delivered, and 22 non-borrowing members, Finland among them, whose suppliers can compete for the resulting contracts. The Bank finances the project; the executing agency in the borrowing country runs the procurement and signs the contract.
These competitions are designed for international participation among eligible member countries. Delivery capability, relevant experience and compliance with the Bank's documentation requirements shape the supplier's opportunity to compete.
